Open BookWorx™ is a Collaborative Publishing Platform that brings together authors and community to co-create socially-valuable, economically-viable and environmentally-responsible nonfiction books.

As a book publisher, we put the connection between author and community first. Before any book comes to life, we ensure that:

• There is a sufficient level of community engagement to make the publishing project economically viable,
• Every book we publish makes a contribution to the social well-being of its reading community and gives back to the community at large, and
• Our publishing projects are environmentally-responsible.

Open BookWorx serves authors of intentional knowledge (nonfiction) and the reading community by:

• Providing a platform for new and existing authors to engage and publish in collaboration with their engaged readers and the broader community.
• Engaging the nonfiction reading community in the experience, review, development and editorial process of each book we publish to ensure maximum fulfillment.

Books, particularly non-fiction books, have always been a major part of my life and career.  I used to tell people that if I had to live alone on a deserted island for a year and could only take one luxury, my books would be it.

But my love of books goes far beyond reading them.  As an aspiring, yet-to-be-published author, I’d been studying the publishing industry and contemplating my “getting published” options for nearly a decade. With my 40th birthday approaching and a recent career change that allowed me to fulfill the work I am most passionate about, the time seemed ideal to publish my first book.

And so the real work began. Clarifying the concepts for book form, doing the research and having the discipline to write were only a small part of the challenge...

The Open Book Experience is to a reader, what a live concert is to a music lover.

As a member of the Open Book Community you can:

• Interact with authors in an "intimate" online setting
• Connect with and provide direct feedback to authors
• Share your stories and experiences with other members, and
• Even be interviewed to have your experiences appear in one of our books
